3º British: Global Warming

Some people believe that human activities in industrialised countries are changing the world’s climate and the natural greenhouse effect is being altered.

But global warning is a controversial issue. Some people argue that it is not happening because throughout History there have been natural cycles of warming (eg. the Medieval Warm Period) and cooling on Earth (eg. the Little Ice Age between the 11^th and 15^th centuries). 

What do you think about it?

Watch this video from National Geographic and do a small research on the web. Them, answer the following questions as complete as possible:

-         Describe 3 possible impacts of global warming and how people can try to slow down its impact.

-         Why are people uncertain about the causes of global warming?

-         Are you in favour or against the theory of Global Warming? Explain it and give reasons.
